Time, and the ability to control time, is your power and although it is just one of the “superpowers” that SM bestowed on you and your fellow members, I really think that the power over time suits you well. You’ve grown a lot, Zitao, you’ve changed and matured so much, and yet at the same time you haven’t seemed to change at all. From a boy chasing a dream, a dream to be famous, a dream to be loved all over the world, a dream in which you can perform on stage, in which you can pursue your passions– you’ve now become a man who has reached that dream. _{I made this edit with a purpose in mind. I wanted to try to show him and his progression over the years, and the only way I can ever accurately express him is through his own words. Inside the hourglass are his quotes – his predebut quotes that show how beautifully he weaves words together and how poetically he can express himself. His quotes that show his strength as a person, his independence, his pursuit towards his goal. There are quotes that he wrote expressing his happiness and gratitude when Exo won their first award, and there is a message he wrote last year on his birthday, his first birthday with so many people who love him celebrating this day with him. Finally, there is his quote: “世界对我来说没有不可能” - Nothing in the world is impossible for me. Nothing in the world is impossible for you, Zitao. You have achieved so much at such a young age, and with each passing year, I hope you fulfill more and more of your dreams.}

Happy 20th/21st Birthday Tao!  Wushu Panda, Little Peach, Zitao… it’s already been an year since your 19th/20th birthday.  I still remember watching your 1st teaser on December 27th, 2011.  To put it quite simply, I was amazed by your wushu skills and I couldn’t help thinking, “Wow, he must be a pretty tough guy” ‘cause your fiery gaze, panda eyebags, and breathtaking skills were needless to say, a bit intimidating.  

A few months came around the corner and on March 31st, 2012 during EXO’s showcase in Seoul, everyone realized that you were quite evidently the opposite of what we expected you to be.  Your unforgettable bbuing bbuing, your high voice, and your cute broken Korean - all of these things are things that I’ll never forget in the years to come.  

Zitao, throughout this past year (and a month), you’ve never ceased to impress me.  ”To me, nothing in this world is impossible;  世界对我来说没有不可能”.  You’re truly an inspiration.  I never get bored of reading your previous posts on Weibo, looking through your endless collection of selcas (you’ve seriously mastered the art of selca-taking, how… teach me pls), or watching your signature back flip in the dance break of MAMA.   I can’t even count how many times you’ve had me smiling like an idiot because of your antics; liking your own fansite pictures in the middle of the night and slyly “un-liking” the photo ‘cause you momentarily forgot that every fan on Weibo could see, spending hours changing your display picture on Weibo ‘cause honestly, which selca looks the best out of the 1023123123 thousand that you took, and smirking when you picked up the Krisyeol banner that fans threw on stage during the Super Joint Concert in Thailand.  Honestly, my little peach never fails to make me laugh (& look like an idiot).  

I love you, 黄子韬.  You’re so talented in so many ways - you can dance, sing, rap, and of course, in wushu, you kick ass.  You’re also quite the athlete, getting a silver medal in high jump at the Idol Sports Championships (& a gold medal in flirting with EXO-G), and staying put the longest on that slide or whatever it is during EXO-M’s appearance on Going All Out.  So Tao, I hope you enjoy your special day to the fullest & I wanted to let you know that we as fans, will support you through thick and thin.  In difficult times, like when your injury hurts from too much pressure and practice, please remember that we’re here for you and so are the rest of the members.  In glorious times, like when EXO wins awards, remember that we’ll celebrate with you.  Don’t cry too much even if you’re emotional, ‘cause you make us cry with you.  A smile on your face, puts a smile on ours.  我爱你.
